10x10! Christmas

I recently gave 10x10! Christmas a whirl, eager to get into the seasonal spirit engaging in some strategic block-placing. The Christmas theme does inject a warm feeling into the familiar 10x10 puzzling action. It’s like a holiday-season Tetris, except there’s no pressure of falling pieces. But the novelty soon wears off after a couple rounds. I mean, yes, it was relaxing, as some friends reported, but there was no progression, no challenge, so it soon left a feeling of something more at the end of the pipeーsomething that never came. It’s certainly casual with potentially repetitive gameplay and the Christmas-themed blocks feel fun until they don’t. It’s okay as a time passer; just don’t expect much depth. If you enjoy your grid-based puzzles but would like a seasonal kick then this will be right up your street. If you're interested in something with a little chunk to it, you might prefer some of the other puzzle games on play123, like this one for 2020 Winterland
