A Multiplayer Medley of Fun and Simple Challenges
My time with 12 MiniBattles was a relatively fun experience, albeit a mixed bag. This party-style game is a good choice for quick sessions with friends, where you go against each other in a series of one-button games, whether that be soccer matches or sniper duels. The single-button control scheme is refreshingly simple, so even the most inexperienced gamer in the group could get straight in and start playing, while the random selection of games keeps things fresh but can sometimes be a little hit and miss — it’s not to everyone’s taste. Although many of the games are super good fun, there are some that come across as a little bit rough around the edges. Overall, community feedback seems to be a general love of the game for its diversity and simplicity in mechanics, as well as "one of the cooler casual multiplayer games" out there. However, the average rating for such on other platforms appears to be ceilinged at a bit above good enough — meaning they still have space to grow. If nothing else, though, if you’re looking to kill some time and chuckle with a friend, this could be your video game of choice. Are you prepared to fight it out?
