Who would have expected that a game with such an on-point name would provide a little joy and distraction? Here Corona Virus Matching comes in. With a gameplay that’s vaguely Tetris-like, it tests your ability to destroy as many viruses as possible by strategically dragging blocks into the board and trying to clear full rows and columns. The satisfaction of eliminating rows of blocks in a single go and scoring big points is strangely soothing.
The fellow players’ comments provide a touch of humor and community sense, reminding us how we’re all in this together — in the game and otherwise. People have been comparing seizing control in the game — in which players collect loot, build settlements and fend off enemies — to the feeling of being able to exercise a little more control in real life despite pandemic restrictions.
Scoring on Play123 allows for some more competitiveness. The aim of this game is to make you forget the time exist and that every run is the last, up until you need to sleep or go to work. Highly recommend, a solid choice for anyone looking to kill time or venting some anger. Just be warned, like it's super addicting!
