Dot Adventure

Just finished a run of Dot Adventure and it is such a weird little game, so unassuming with its simple controls and bright ball avatar. Tramping through the bolshy levels, skeletal with all things nasty, from spikes to flaming spit across the likes of an obstacle course for physics PhD clowns.

It struck a glorious balance of ‘one more level’ and ‘I could’ve been through that spike by a pixel!’ feelings. I was on the edge of my seat during the last few stages, along with the other bouncy people who loosed our arms, determination peaking. The challenge of that satisfaction of snatching all those stars and making an epic escape, however, is worth every retry fuelled with confusion.
