Gravity Guy

Exploiting gravity as an ally was thrilling in Gravity Guy, a title that had me flipping polarity to navigate a chain of involved stages. The pace is furious, inviting a dazed reflex as you race through stages and suggesting that mastery is a matter of trial and error. When you add four players to the mix, it becomes competitive and social experience. However, things aren't all plain sailing; the game can, at times, require precision that may come across as unforgiving—the messy nature of shared controls can lead to chaotic gameplay, in a bad way.

As I worked my way through the gravitational challenges, I found myself focusing on both joys and frustrations expressed by others that made it clear, 'Gravity is your friend' all too often turns into 'Gravity is a fickle ally.' While these are emotional moments in the series, the love factor lies within this continuous push of improvement and conquering the stages. Oops, forgot to mention that as well, oh well, satisfaction comes when you find the rhythm to proceed... Overall, Gravity Guy is a unique take on the sidescroller genre, and is by no means perfect, however still holds a fair amount of entertainment and some challenge.
