I dove into the delightful world of Jumpy Ape Joe and it is such a charming romp through the jungle! With his stylish shades, Joe the ape isn’t just a cool idol; he’s a boing boing nut with an appetite for bananas. His leaping skills are your greatest weapon as you hop across a gorgeously crafted forest scene, and I cannot explain the graphics enough as you’re going to go bananas of how bright and colorful each level is

The gameplay mechanics are straightforward but exhilarating – avoid the traps, grab the bananas and keep an eye on your toes, or Joe’s toes for that matter. It’s the sort of pick-me-up game you’d absolutely want to join up with during a quick break or a languorous afternoon. I am not alone in having fun though, judging from online chatter other players seem to be loving it too, one player even call it 'cooooooooooooool boi' and I can see why. The balance between challenge and fun is perfect, not too hard, not too easy, to keep the game interesting as to not turn into a gorilla-sized frustrate-fest. It is not a ground-breaking game that pushes the envelope in any direction, but it is a strong platformer with the right mix of challenge and fun in an engaging package. It’s one of those games that makes you want to dive straight back into the fray after every game over, in pursuit of “just one more jump”.
