An Enchanting Adventure with Merge Dreams

3.9
Diving into Merge Dreams, I found myself immersed in a whimsical world reminiscent of the classic stories like Alice in Wonderland. A unique combo of merge mechanics and world-building is a magic touch in giving this genre a new life. Every merge felt meaningful and satisfying, with the aim of building a wonderland populated by classic characters and stories.

The progression system, where you level up and eventually get new characters and new stories, was a highlight and was a nice sense of achievement with every product you made and order you solved. This is the first time that I've seen players compare it with similar merge games, such as Tropical Merge, and lean towards themes they prefer.

Developed by HKStarry, the game handles well enough, though it doesn't exactly break new ground. It’s a charming romp, particularly if you’re a fan of fairy-tale backdrops. Needless to say I love this because it gives me the perfect opportunity to throw in a (bad) joke. (S)he went to the movies and saw a Cheshire Cat band. I guess they disappeared following their first concert—they really were 'singing in the background'!
