Snail Bob

Leaping into the world of Snail Bob, I found myself tasked with getting our squishy hero through a dangerous wood to get to his grandparent's birthday bash. The puzzles themselves were a neat mix of logic and timing that struck a sweet spot — not so taxing, but certainly not a crawl in the park. It’s also adorable that we’re lending Bob assistance on an expedition to find a new shell-abode after his dwelling was rudely destroyed.

On the other hand, a frequent complaint from players on both Xbox and PlayStation was that at times the game just wouldn’t load, which definitely puts a damper on the fun. On the other end, once things get rolling, the fun levels and easy controls inspire you to overlook the slow start. A Cart Racing mode also lets players save their scores on the Play123 website, giving some much-needed competitive edge to the otherwise slow-paced adventure. And here’s a joke to brighten your evening: Why did Snail Bob cross the road? Line up on time and step right into the next base, to avoid slugging it out in traffic!

All in all, Snail Bob is an enjoyable outing for the whole family, providing a balance of puzzles and giggles on a budget, ideally suited for those wanting a relaxing and tactical pastime.
