Immersed in the icy melee of Winter Clash 3D, I entered a frantic fight against naughty elves, intent on saving Christmas. The premise is as original as it is fun: saving Santa’s hovel from invasion by the pagan idol Baba Yaga. To be fair, the theme clash between a cheery holiday and a brutal 3rd person shooter did provide a welcome break.

The fast-paced action was kept entertaining as I traversed the lighthouse island with the colorful visuals and fluid gameplay. The stripped back controls made it approachable too, meaning even the most casual of players could find themselves swept into some breathless gunplay. All in all, a mix of festive feasting and gunplay, Winter Clash 3D is a fun title that administers on its guarantee of event fun in abundance with every round of slush-soaked fight.
